How to Get Turkish Citizenship
Foreigners who want to obtain Turkish Citizenship for themselves as well as their families (Spouse and Children under 18 Years) have to Purchase Property / Properties with a minimum amount of 400,000USD (or equal value in Turkish Lira).
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CITIZENSHIP:
- Passport with 1-year validity
- Birth certificate (attested from foreign office)
- Mother’s Name
- Photographs with white Background on Biometric Paper (12 Pieces) + Soft Copy of Photo
- Address in home country
- Email Address
For family citizenship, following additional documents will also be required:
- Passports copies of each family member with 1-year validity
- Marriage certificate (Nikahnama) in English/Arabic – Must be attested from Foreign office
- Birth certificates of spouse and children (English translated and attested from Foreign office)
- Photographs (every member of family) with white Background on Biometric Paper (4 Pieces) + Soft Copy of Photos
Officially Application Processing Time for Citizenship is 6 Months; In normal circumstances, people are getting citizenship in ¾ month

VAT (for specific properties*) 8% to 18%
3rd party property valuation report 2000TL to 3500 tl (per property)
Lawyer fee for citizenship 4000 $

Vat 18%*: commercial properties, apartments of villa bigger than 150 sqm, some special zones/areas declared by law for higher VAT
VAT 8%: some special lands and special zones/areas declared by law for higher VAT
Important
- There are no hidden or other expenses related to property and citizenship
- VAT exemption is only possible if all amount is transferred from foreign country (origin country of investor) legally and customer do not have any property or residence permit of Turkey
